Unlike previous models, the iPhone 16 cameras will be placed vertically instead of diagonally. The flash is positioned next to the main lens and telephoto lens. This vertical arrangement is expected to greatly improve compatibility with Apple's mixed reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro. Apple Vision Pro supports stereoscopic video playback, and the vertical arrangement of the iPhone 16's camera is optimized for stereoscopic video capture, with the lenses positioned side-by-side like a digital eye when using the headset. The leak shows that the iPhone 16 design will be similar to the iPhone 15 Pro. However, the regular iPhone 15 models are not expected to feature the vertical camera system.
